My Year This 2014 Which Year Is Near To Over

In Which I Do A Brief Year Review

🎢It’s here, it’s here, it’s the end of the year! 🎢

(There’s emojis in that, so if you can’t see them then that’s why. Because: emoji)

WordPress has emailed me a Year In Blogging Review email but it seems to lack warmth, lack heart and lack love. So I’ve taken the bits I’ve deemed important enough and added more stuff that I like.

(The pic-texts are from WordPress, the texts from me.)

Also, recently, I hit over 100’000 blog views. And 3’600 subscribers. I’m working on how to get you all to do my bidding.

I didn’t even know there WERE that many countries! Doubt I could name that many anyway!

Can’t believe I wasn’t following any of you kids… I am now. (Internetly, not stalkerly!)

That’s the basics! But these are the more important facts:

1. Finished a heap more 10k runs and one more marathon (marathon total is now 3).

2. Knocked a massive 21 minutes off my marathon PB, bringing it down to a more respectable 04:27:30.

3. Entered, and finished, my first ever (short course) triathlon in Skipton.

4. Visited New York with my lovely wife Sarah and brought her home, along with this:

5. Wore above hoodie out in public, didn’t get ridiculed.

6. Entered IMUK / Ironman UK for July 2015 and started training, and realised spin classes and Boot Camp classes chuffing hurt! My sponsorship page can be found here: FUNDRAISING
THANK YOU to the people that have already donated! (dgobsrunning was one, Anna was another)

7. Got a new 10k PB and half marathon PB too!

8. Got you to read this.

In conclusion, have a great New Year and thank you for all the support during the year, please don’t leave me!

  4. Happy New Year πŸ™‚

  5. Great year for you. And the stats reflect the quality of your blog. I’ve enjoyed reading your posts and look forward to more in 2015.

  6. Thanks for following me now! πŸ™‚ I appreciate it. Happy 2015 !!

  7. Impressive stats. Maybe one day I wont be talking into an abyss. Have a great New Year.

  8. Loving the hoodie! Sounds like a great year, and I hope you have a great 2015.

    • Thanks! You too! Had a look at your page, but what’s PT? Physical Test?

      • Haha, sorry about that…the military loves it’s acronyms. PT is Physical Training, the PT test (which is actually the PFT, Physical Fitness Test) is a mandatory test you have to take every year to make sure you are “fit to fight.” Thanks for checking it out. I’ve just started, but have been plotting and planning for future articles, the newest post should be up on the 1st!

        • Ah right, got it! What do you have to fo for the test?

          • In the Air Force you have to have your waist circumference measured (20pts possible), then do as many pushups in 1 minute as you can (10pts possible), followed by 1 minute of situps (10pts possible), and then a timed 1.5 mile run (60pts possible). You must pass with a score of 75 or better. For example, my best test I had a 26in waist (20pts), did 51 pushups (10pts), did 47 situps (8.8pts), and ran in 14:57 (49.3pts). For my gender and age I got a total of 88.1pts. (notice how low my run points were…I suck at running haha!)

  9. Definitely a great outfit! Can’t argue with you there! πŸ™‚

  10. Sweet stats! I hope my blog will grow like yours eventually!
